Fisiocrem: a natural alternative for creams and gels

I am often asked what to use to help injuries.

It is almost universal that everyone wants to help themselves get better faster, but sometimes pain can become persistent unless dealt with properly.

We mostly advocate strengthening programs and adjusting small habits that may be contributing to your symptoms.

If you’re not sure this is for you click here to make an appointment and our friendly team will be happy to help!

Why do we use fisiocrem?

This story starts way back!

Even before we had established the premesis at 210 Wanneroo Road, Madeley, WA in 2006.

I hadn’t been a fan of using creams in my treatments.

Early on when I was working from home, the fisiocrem company sent a sample, and that day I had actually run out of sorbolene.

So I started using the samples for a week or two until they ran out.

It was heaps better than anything else on offer at the time in terms of texture, smell, ease of application, and non greasy feel.

I resumed using the sorbolene, but patients started asking what had happened to the cream!

I was surprised to hear this, and asked if they liked it, to which the unaminous answer was YES!!!!

So since that day back in 2006, we have used the cream, and it’s popularity has spread far and wide since.

I asked reception to order some cream for us to use, but instead they ordered a display stand with 30 tubes, and the rest is history!

What is fisiocrem?

Fisiocrem is an effective massage solugel cream for temporary relief from sore muscles and stiff joints related to daily activity, injury or after intense physical activity.

What is in fisiocrem?

If you want a cream that has anti-inflammatory properties but in a natural form, then Fisiocrem is what we use daily in the treatment rooms.

Fisiocrem uses the natural active indegrients of Arnica, Hypericum, and Calendula

Arnica montana:

Common herb used in traditional medicine to combat inflammation and bruising.

Hypericum perforatum:

Commonly known as ‘St Johns Wort’. The active components are hypericin and hyperforin.

Calendula officnalis:

This has been used traditionally to treat minor inflammation of the skin and wounds

Melaleuca alternifolia:

Commonly known as Australian Tea Tree Oil. This provides the smooth texture.

How do I use fisiocrem?

Simply take a small amount about the size of a 5 cent piece, and rub gently into the affected area.

Use as often as required - usually 2-3 times per day.

It gets hotter if you rub more.

As always, ensure you read the label, and use only as directed. If symptoms persist, please see your physiotherapist or doctor.

Further fisiocrem information:

  • Fisiocrem solugel contains high levels of active plant extracts derived from plants that are grown and harvested to specific requirements.

  • Fisiocrem does not contain parabens and hydroxybenzoates.

  • To maintain solugel integrity, make sure to store away from heat and direct sunlight.

How to get fisiocrem?

People often want to buy some for personal use between sessions.

It is available in 60ml, and 250ml tubes for pick up at our Jenkins Physiotherapy clinic in Madeley, Perth WA.

Of course at work we use the bigger 750ml pump packs. You can often see them in the background on our exercise videos.

Don’t worry, we still make use of the good old sorbolene too ;)

Take care
